Alan Levy

Co-Owner
Honest, knowledgeable and dependable

Mr. Construction was founded in 1978 by Alan Levy. He learned the construction business from his father who worked in the construction industry since the early 1950s. Building on the knowledge and experience provided to him by his father, Alan vowed to serve the San Diego community with honesty and pride when he decided to build a home remodeling business of his own.

In 1978, Alan acquired his first license, a C-53, which authorized him to build swimming pools, spas and pool solar heating systems. Soon after, he earned several other licenses to certify his breadth of knowledge in home improvement: a B-1 general construction license, a C-35 plastering-stucco license (Mr. Stucco & Paint) and a C-33 painting and decorating license. To further supplement his skills, Alan earned his California realtor's license in 1984.

Alan currently holds memberships with the San Diego Board of Realtors, San Diego Association of Realtors (SDAR) and National Association of Realtors (NAR). He effectively combines his knowledge of the dynamics of home improvement and the real estate market to guide clients through their home remodeling projects from start to finish. In addition, he offers expert advice on a number of issues such as the advantages of remodeling to increase the value of a home and how not to over-remodel for a home resale.

Suzi Levy

Co-Owner
Friendly, respectful and helpful

While Alan was raised in the home remodeling business, Suzi grew up in the retail business. Her grandparents settled in the El Cajon Valley in the 1920s and opened Harry's General Store. After World War II, her parents opened a children's store called The Rockin' Horse Kiddie Shop, or also known affectionately by regulars as Aaron's. Suzi learned quality customer service by working in this family-run San Diego business for part of its 50-year lifetime. She has used her highly-developed customer service skills, attention to detail, creativity and product knowledge in her capacity as co-owner of Mr. Construction. She is always friendly and helpful, and treats all clients with respect. As a San Diego native, Suzi feels happy to serve her hometown on the husband-and-wife-team of Mr. Construction.
